LOMAH - Land of Milk and Honey

Just living life here in the Promised Land, Southern Alberta. Where the Mountains meet the prairie in a stunning sunset, surrounded in fields of gold

Kayking - S Bend

An old picture, surfing the S Bend on the Red Deer River with Denali keeping a watchful eye. It was a perfect day, surrounded by perfect friends.

Family in Waterton

A summer hike with the family and Grandparents. It was a typical Waterton day with some wind and sun. Logan hiked the whole way in to Bertha Falls

Loves of my Life

The first two loves of my life together in one picture. I remember when they came into my life, making me whole.

Me in the Broken Group

I think this is my favourite picture from last year. We did a sea kayaking trip to the Broken Group and had 4 glorious days of sun. It was a capped off with the company of great friends.

X-Country

I realize that I am too easily distracted when I hook up to the Internet.  Might be one reason why I haven't been posting as much as I should.  Also, I think it's a groove thing.  So here goes keeping in thee groove.

This winter we headed to the golf course across the road for a little X-country skiing.  Not sure what I was thinking with some of my MacGyver moves, but pulling Evan was not my finest moment in modification.  Enjoy the Chaos!

Whitefish Skiing

For whatever reason, we seem to love Skiing Whitefish.  I think it's the fact that anytime we hit the USA, it feels more like a vacation.  Plus, we always seem to find a few deals here and there.  This time it was to pick up a PS4 for the Raymond Judo Tournament next weekend.  It's the door prize.  Apparently they're hard to come by.  If your interested, tickets are $2 and you don't have to be there to win.  Let me know how many tickets you want and I'll put you in the draw.

Another reason we headed south is that we had access to the Hironaka cabin this weekend (Thanks!).  It was nice to be able to eat in and just hang out on a couch.  Plus, it makes a weekend ski trip affordable.  Another plus was that we got to see family that we haven't seen in awhile.   Here are some shots from the weekend.

Rossland

Well.  Thanks to Dora being awesome, Mike organizing things and the other Mike for hosting, I was able to get away for some skiing and hiking with the buds.  Its been awhile since the 3 of us have been together so I appreciated the time.  I'd like to say we're older and wiser, but hey 1 out of 2 ain't bad.

Rossland was nice and I recommend a visit to everyone. Lots of things to do in the winter and summer. Good hosts available too.  For those that are curious, here are some pictures.

Garage Update

I've been slack and my friends were asking about my garage update.  So here are a few pictures of the shelves that I put in.  They are mobile and pretty bomber.  If you like, I can email the plans I used to to build them.

I ran out of plywood, so I'll post the finished ones later.

Christmas Tree

Last weekend we went out to get our tree.  It's been a bear with regards to temperature and the -30 and lower temperatures have kept us inside for far too long.  I had to cancel the father/son ski trip that my cousin was preparing due to the cold.

So with the wind a blowin' we headed west to find a lull in the storm.  We found moderate temperatures and no wind around the Beaver Mines area.  With a sweet hill and a close trees we quickly cut down our tree and spent the rest of the time tobogganing.  We even helped a guy get his truck out of the ditch, dealt with a bloody nose and found beverage and sushi.  Quite a day!

Digging Out

Well, after a good dump of snow and a little help from my neighbor and is Kuboto, we managed to dig out on Tuesday.  Today, we dug in and had a little fun.
