LOMAH - Land of Milk and Honey

Just living life here in the Promised Land, Southern Alberta. Where the Mountains meet the prairie in a stunning sunset, surrounded in fields of gold

Kayking - S Bend

An old picture, surfing the S Bend on the Red Deer River with Denali keeping a watchful eye. It was a perfect day, surrounded by perfect friends.

Family in Waterton

A summer hike with the family and Grandparents. It was a typical Waterton day with some wind and sun. Logan hiked the whole way in to Bertha Falls

Loves of my Life

The first two loves of my life together in one picture. I remember when they came into my life, making me whole.

Me in the Broken Group

I think this is my favourite picture from last year. We did a sea kayaking trip to the Broken Group and had 4 glorious days of sun. It was a capped off with the company of great friends.

Funeral Slideshow

Here are the pictures from the Family Gathering after the service.  Many of the pictures are from the 40th wedding anniversary slideshow, but there are lots more in this one.  I love so many of these pictures.  I know they say a funeral is suppose to represent some type of closure, but I don't see it.  I wasn't ready.

40th Anniversary

My parents recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary prior to Mom's passing.  I made a slideshow for them which they both saw and enjoyed.  I thought I would post it here since we also showed it at mom's funeral service.

I love so many of the pictures and I'm sure some of you will enjoy the pictures of me and my siblings.

Collette Iwaasa 1950 - 2012

I am posting today the passing of my Mom.  I've come to decide that this is as much my diary as it is my blog.

I'd also like to thank everyone who has called, sent emails or messages.  My family and I appreciate all the kind works, condolences and support.

At some point in your life you realize that this day might come.  In our case, with the progression of the cancer we had some time to prepare.  For that I'm thankful.  It gave me the opportunity to tell my mom how much she meant to me and how blessed I was to have her in my life.  Not everyone is so lucky.

I don't need to tell everyone how wonderful or special she was.  We all have these people in our life and know that they can never be replaced.  I miss you mom...

I've included some information below for those coming to the service.  First are two maps that show the location of the different services during the funeral.

There will be a meal to follow at the Raymond Cultural Hall.  The Regent Restaurant will be catering and my Dad would appreciate it if family and friends would attend.  He has ordered food for 250 people, so don't feel like your imposing, we would love an opportunity to talk with you and see how everyone is doing.

Again, thank you for all the love and support.
