Summer Trip Pt. I

As usual, we like to have a summer trip where we explore something. Over the past few years,2011 & 2010 we've ended up on the coast in Victoria. This year we thought we would try something different and finish a bit south of our usual spot. But, I've jumped ahead.
Our first stop was Missoula, MT. Not sure why, but we seem to enjoy heading this direction. We hit our usual favourites, the Carousal and the Dragon park.
It's always fun down here for some reason. I don't know if it's because we have low expectations, but we always manage to have fun. After a day here, we headed to their water park and water slide park, Splash Montana.
After that, we headed to Coeur d'Alene. But, that's part II.

Dora's grandmother still lives in the homestead town of Kyle and we felt it was time to head back for a visit. I don't think we made it out last year, so the trip was needed. The nice thing about the trip is that the family has a cabin on Clearwater Lake, so we get some relaxation time as well. The boys enjoyed a round of golf as well as some quality lake time.

Well what do you get when you mix Dora with a few of her female friends and Vegas? New Vocabulary words! Hangry, Scritchin', and those are only the ones she told me about!!
Here are the pictures, the stories.... well, you'd have to talk to her.

This was a bit different this year. Every year in July we head out to the cemetery to participate in a Buddhist service for the deceased. This year we payed respect to our mother. It was hard at times, but the kids helped me put things in perspective. It still feels so fresh at times.
Here are a few pictures from the day.

Canada Day

As usual, we had everyone show up for Canada Day in Raymond. The best part, besides the food and candy is the fact that we all cruise around in the back of a pickup truck. That's how you know your still in a small town.
But mostly I like the 3 year olds out for a Sunday drive.
