LOMAH - Land of Milk and Honey

Just living life here in the Promised Land, Southern Alberta. Where the Mountains meet the prairie in a stunning sunset, surrounded in fields of gold

Kayking - S Bend

An old picture, surfing the S Bend on the Red Deer River with Denali keeping a watchful eye. It was a perfect day, surrounded by perfect friends.

Family in Waterton

A summer hike with the family and Grandparents. It was a typical Waterton day with some wind and sun. Logan hiked the whole way in to Bertha Falls

Loves of my Life

The first two loves of my life together in one picture. I remember when they came into my life, making me whole.

Me in the Broken Group

I think this is my favourite picture from last year. We did a sea kayaking trip to the Broken Group and had 4 glorious days of sun. It was a capped off with the company of great friends.

May Long Weekend

It seems to me your either camping, doing yard work or renovating during this weekend.  We managed a little of all 3.  Well, mostly two.  No wait, I guess it was only one.  We spent the majority of the weekend working on the house, working on closets and painting the basement.  We did manage to escape for a few hours and did some golfing.  The boys had a blast as you can see.

Shave like a Man

I came across this and found it rather funny.  If I didn't already use safety razors to shave, I'd be in like Flynn.

Judo Pictures

We took some pictures during Judo last week.  Here are a few of the pictures.

2 wheels are better than 4

So Logan has learned how to ride his bike.  Thought I would post some of his success.

Cabinets Installed

The cabinets are in now, with some final finishing touches, glass and handles.  The shower is getting the the tile stage and we're getting excited to see the larger wall tiles go on.

The crown molding on the roof seemed to finish it off, and we had a nice talk with the concrete counter top guy at earthstone concrete.

We really like the drain in the shower.  It's funny how both Stacie and I noticed it right away.

New Template

Got tired of the old look.  Trying something new.  The linked menu in Red doesn't work yet, but we'll see what I can do with it.

This looks different.

Well, things are starting to shape up around the new house.  Today was an exciting day and Dora squeezed me half to death when she saw these pictures I took at the house today.  The cabinets were being installed and they were looking pretty sweet!  In addition the colours were on the walls and it was great to see all the tones in the house.

This colour was Dora's favorite, Maple Syrup is the colour name.

Calgary Comic Con (videos fixed)

Comic Conference or Comic Expo.  Whatever you call it, you get the same thing.  Costumes and Comics!  In this case, we also get Trekies.  This expo had the meeting of the Cast of Star Trek:  The Next Generation.

It was a special event for Dora and you can see that here.
After a few hours standing in line (plus pre-purchasing the photo op.) Dora was rewarded with a picture with Ser Patrick Stewart.  Pretty cool!
I spent the time checking out the displays and entertainment that was abound.  You can see some of the action below.

I liked the flux capacitor personally.  It was something from my past, seeing the Delorean.  It seemed like such a cool car in my youth.

It was quite the experience, my first comic con.  It was busier than I thought it would be, in fact, they ended up turning some people away.  We sat in on one Q&A session with the cheerleader from Heroes, Hayden Leslie Panettiere.

The evening was the TNG exposed, a sit down with the full cast from Star Trek.  This was my favorite, an hour and a half where the cast talked about their time on the show.
This last clip has a funny line, perhaps my favorite from that evening.
