The New Year

Well this year was pretty low key, as we spent time with the Hironaka family. Clay invited us over to his folks place and the hospitality was amazing, almost as amazing as the house. With good food and family an evening becomes a memorable experience.

It was great to see how some of the kids have changed. In fact I know someday we'll be sitting around with kids and grandkids. Kinda crazy eh?

Well the new year has started and I look forward to what it brings.... assuming that means more friends and family. I truly look forward to spending time with both groups and am hoping that this summer will bring some great times with friends.

After writing my New Year's blurb I realized I missed being with the stalwart x-country skiers slugging it through the backwoods hoping to find an empty, accessible cabin so that we wouldn't have to sleep outside in the -30 degree weather... And the food!! All to bring in the new year!
