The heightened periods of the Dubai fireworks probably fired off 10 times as many fireworks in one second than they did at Whistler for New Year's Eve (not that they fired much mind you)... The sum of all the fireworks of Lethbridge's firework events in my days there probably did not sum to the amount of fireworks they shot off in Dubai those two times...
Man, I don't think you here of Dubaiians blaming the global warming theory as something to bring the Americans down so the rest of the world can come up to the same level...(more on that in a new blog...)
