Well, while dad was out west for his "man-date" with Merc, the boys and I headed out east with Nana & Papa for some time with my grandma. The 5 hour drive (includes break for lunch) went so well. We hit Evan's nap perfectly. For those of you that travel with little ones, you will appreciate how awesome that is. The drive back was a little rougher. But Papa did get the chance to show Logan how to pee on an old barn. Darn cool.
It was pretty low key. Lots of visiting and hanging out. Me and the boys were able to stay in the guest suite while my folks stayed with grandma in her little condo. Nice that we had our own spot to retreat to at night. My cousin Rose had also made the trek and brought her boys. We ate out every night at the local venues, played at the park and had an Easter egg hunt. All in all a nice break from the routine. I was pretty tired by the end (how do single parents travel?). It's nice to be home and back in routine again...and have Marco home too.
