Live Long and Prosper

Well for those of you who own a tricorder or simply remember the man they call Spock, this last weekend brought an exciting day in our geeky life's.  We made the short 1 hour drive north to be part of Leonard Nimoy's homecoming in Vulcan, Alberta.  I've always known that Southern Alberta was the motherland, and now Spock has confirmed it!  I mean really.... how can you argue with a Vulcan?  They're always right!  While the whole event was short lived, last about an hours it was a fun afternoon out that reaped a few unexpected rewards.  A few pictures of the man himself, an opportunity to hear him speak, and a flat of Romulan Ale!

I've included a few pictures from our trip below as well as a video clip.  When it was all said and done, I can't decide what was the best part.  The actual experience or the look of excitement on Dora's face.  I can't believe how excited she was.  Now that I think about it... her excitement might have been due to the fact that she was out of the house and neither boy was crabby.

Ever notice how much Leonard Nimoy looks like Leonard Cohen? Especially in their old age...
